Resolution

A supported hot fix is available from Microsoft to correct this problem. The hot fix is available for download from
http://support.microsoft.com/hotfix/KBHotfix.aspx?kbnum=976494&kbln=en-us .

Steps:

1. Ensure that there are no desktops provisioned from this template.

- Set the template Pre-start setting to 0.
- Wait for the desktops in the 'New' column to get cleaned up and for the console to display zero (0).
- Destroy any existing user sessions currently using this template using the red 'X' icon on the Desktops -> User Sessions tab.

2. Edit the Kaviza published image to generate a draft image from it.

3. Once the draft image gets to a RUNNING state, download and install the recommended Microsoft patch on the draft image.

- Refer to section 7.6 of the Kaviza Administration Guide for additional details.

4. Once you have installed and verified the patch, follow the steps in the wizard to prepare and save the image.

5. Now, provision the required number of desktops from the template.
